Ever since seeing the movie "Marley and Me," I've been completely in love with yellow labs. From all I've seen, they are just as active and affectionate as portrayed in the movie. But with proper training, I think their mischievousness can be curbed.
Marley was definitely portrayed as a handful, but in real life, I've heard nothing but glowing reviews of yellow labs as pets. Same is true with black and chocolate labs -- they train well, are very obedient and affectionate.
Had anybody had any specific experiences to the contrary that they could share?
